Three members of Roperhurst's management team have joined the newly formed Institute of Local Exhaust Ventilation Engineers (ILEVE).
ILEVE is being developed under the umbrella of CIBSE (The Chartered Institution of Building Service Engineers) and aims to provide a higher profile and focus for Local Exhaust Ventilation Engineers within CIBSE.

Peter Rogers of Ductwork Projects, Wimborne, Dorset, is the new chairman of the Ductwork Group, taking over from Kevin White of Senior Hargreaves, Bury, Lancs, who will serve as immediate past chairman. Bob Lane of Roperhurst, Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, has become vice chairman.

Recent HSE data shows a significant increase in prohibition notices issued in 2009/10, which is in line with the HSE's expectation that there are a huge number of inadequate systems in place, and reinforces the need for all employers to give due consideration to their working environments.
