Happy 65th, Doug
12/03/10
Doug Stoneham, who joined as Roperhurst's first employee in 1976, has just hit 65. Still a very active man, Doug has asked to remain with us, and we are delighted to have that option open to us.
Bob Lane, Roperhurst Managing Director, said: "When I joined the company in 1979, Doug was already one of the best plastics fabricators around. I was 17 years old at the time and didn't know anything about what we did - Doug played a major role in teaching me how to fabricate in all types of plastic."
Now, 34 years on, Doug remains a role model for quality of work and reliability.
"Too often critical skills are lost when key employees reach retirement age and are discarded. Doug's decision to stay on is fantastic, and we look forward to another 34 years!"
