VALE AM, Jane Hutt, visited the Barry Plastics Fabrication Firm 
'Roperhurst', on the Ty Verlon Industrial Estate to congratulate directors Bob Lane and Phillipe De Wilde for their commitment to recruiting and training young people, recognised with an award from Careers Wales.
Meeting a number of young people employed by Roperhurst, which is a 19 strong workforce, Jane Hutt was impressed by the training session underway, which takes place on Friday mornings led by experienced staff.
She also met the team who were about to go on four days 'on site' work. Working locally, across the UK and worldwide, Jane was impressed with the flexibility and innovation of this company.
Jane Hutt said: "I met a highly motivated, skilled and flexible workforce with inspired management, ready to pitch their business to meet market needs in Wales, the UK and across the World. Their commitment to training and employing young people is exemplary."
