Laboratory fume cupboard strip out and refit
Roperhurst supplies and installs fume cupboards to meet a range of needs, from schools to heavy industrial processes.
In 2009 Roperhurst was asked to strip out four aged wood carcass fume cupboards and replace them with four modern fume cupboards, reusing existing ductwork and fans wherever possible. The client wanted four gas taps in each cupboard, water/sink as well as under-cupboard, vented storage.
The old cupboards included asbestos board, which needed to be removed in conjunction with specialist contractors and disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations.
The new cupboards were installed and commissioned in conjunction with M&E contractors, delivering a modern workspace within a two week timescale and minimising the inconvenience to the end customer.
